Clip Art Download Instructions
VBS Clip Art File Formats
We offer each clip art item in three formats:
- General/Web Use - These images are in PNG (.png) format, which can be easily added to common applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. These items will probably best suit your needs as they are. But, they may easily be edited in image editing programs, such as Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe PhotoShop Elements, and Corel® Paint Shop Pro®.
- Advanced Use - Illustrator - These images are AI (.ai) files for use with Windows and Mac in Adobe Illustrator. These files are vector-based images that may easily be edited to any size without loss of resolution.
- Advanced Use - Photoshop - These images are TIFF (.tif) files for use with Windows and Mac in Adobe Photoshop or other image editing application.
Note: If you choose to download any of the “Advanced” images, they will be downloaded in a compressed ZIP (.zip) format due to their large size. You can decompress these files using a file utility. Most computers come preloaded with a file utility application, however, if you do not have one, you may need to download an application such as Stuffit Expander (http://www.stuffit.com/) or WinZIP (www.winzip.com/) to open the files.
